for MySQL has been released. This is an alpha release and is intended to
introduce you to the new features and enhancements we are planning. This
release should not be used in a production environment.
It is now available in source and binary form from
[http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/6.3.html] and mirror sites
(note that not all mirror sites may be up to date at this point of time
- if you can't find this version on some mirror, please try again later
or choose another download site.)
The new features or changes in this release are:
- Visual Studio 2010 RC support
- Nested transaction scope support
What we know may be broken
- Documentation is not updated yet and is not integrated into VS 2010
- Some users are having trouble installing. We are working hard to determine what is causing this problem. These users may continue having trouble with 6.3.1. Please be patient as we work through this.
Please let us know what else we broke and how we can make it better!
Wow Thaks Reggie, im gonna try it! ill let you know how it works! :DReplyDelete
MmM the installer keeps broken, the same problem with the last one version :SReplyDelete
Yes, I assumed that was the case. It appears to work on most systems. We are still trying to find out what is broken.ReplyDelete
ohh im gonna try it on XP.ReplyDelete
Hi, Reggie, any news from the connector to windows 7? :SReplyDelete
What do you mean?ReplyDelete
lol, sry, i meant if u have news from the mysql .net connector 6.3, the 6.3.1 dosnt work for me.ReplyDelete
yes, we have fixed the installer for 6.3.2. We are trying to get a build of it out by the start of next week.ReplyDelete
wow thanks a lot for this post .) and also for the helpful comments :) i will check this site more often now :)ReplyDelete
are there any new news of the 6.3.2 installer?
Tried to install 6.3.1 under Win7, 64 Bit - but the installer aborted the installation - no error, no info... :-(
Any new updates on this? I have the install issue with 6.3.1 and that's still what I'm seeing for a version when I go to: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/6.3.htmlReplyDelete
any estimate as to when 6.3.x will be finalized and ready for production environments? thanks!ReplyDelete
I only see 6.3.1 (which crashes visual studio on a regular basis). Where is 6.3.2?ReplyDelete
For the install failure, go to your \windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework and Framework64 directories and for each subfolder delete any EMPTY config folder. Installation will then work.
Do you know when build 6.3.2 will come out?
It's on the servers now.ReplyDelete
It was released a couple of weeks ago.ReplyDelete
We are pushing for end of JuneReplyDelete
